Practice Setting
The area where a student practices a piano is almost as important as the instrument.

The ideal area for study will be private and quiet.

Headphones on electronic keyboards are fine, but they are not sound proof, and they don't prevent visual distraction.

The piano should be in an area where the student will have a period of privacy for at least 1/2 hour a day.

Wherever your instrument is, try to be ritualistic about the setting. Keep it clean and neat. Put the music books away
when you're done, so that when you take them out  you make a working statement to yourself and those around you...
